Case Study: Tradesman

Before and after posture and mobility improvement of older male client.

Construction Worker with Severe Pain and Balance Problems

Mark works in construction. When he first came in, he was struggling badly. He had trouble standing, walking, and balancing. His legs would swell when he stood too long, and he did not trust his feet to support him. He had pain in his back, neck, shoulders, hips, knees, ankles, and feet. His posture was poor, and his ankles barely moved.

Because of this, Mark had trouble doing his job. He could not safely move across uneven ground, bend down, or work in tight spaces. He was worried about falling or getting hurt.

Mark started training two times per week using the Functional Patterns method. He also changed his diet to help reduce inflammation in his body.

After several months, Mark’s body changed in major ways. He returned to full work duties and could walk across beams and uneven surfaces again. His ankle movement improved, his swelling went away, and he lost weight. His back, neck, shoulder, and foot pain were gone. His knee pain dropped to almost nothing.

Today, Mark trusts his body again. He moves with confidence at work and at home. He can do his job safely and be present with his family, with better movement and a much higher quality of life.
